Maggie Wheeler, author of the acclaimed Farran Mackenzie Lost Villages mystery series, and Mary Lynn Alguire
(creator of the fabulous Lost Villages Bus Tour) will partner for a third and final season to offer this special tour along the St. Lawrence from the historic Maple Grove Cemetery at the eastern edge of Cornwall to
the International Seaway Lock in Iroquois.
Rewritten to encompass the new fourth novel On a Darkling Plain, the tour will once again be
stopping at various locations showcased in the full series, including A Violent End, The Brother of Sleep and All Mortall Things.
Passengers will be entertained with historical background, novel bits and bites, author insights, and personal anecdotes of memorable moments from the last 10 years with Farran Mackenzie.
The famous Nightingale House B&B in Ingleside (Sterling House in All Mortall Things) will
be the location for our midday pause for a light lunch in the garden (weather permitting) hosted by owner Lesley O’Gorman, the good-sported model for the character of Mildred Keeps. During the lunch, tours of
Sterling House will be given in small groups, and Maggie will give a reading from On a Darkling Plain.
Dates for the 2010 season are:
